When it comes to glass inserts, AWG Custom Doors offers a variety of shapes, sizes and designs. We carry patterned glass, internal grids and internal blinds; and no matter what material your door is made from – whether steel, fiberglass or wood – we can integrate a glass insert.

Our Most Popular Insert
Our most popular insert has been internal raise and lower blinds with hard coat low-e. These inserts offer convenient light management, and they are very easy to clean unlike external blinds.
With the internal blind systems, there is a strong magnet that allows the mechanism to move the blinds up and down along the track. There is also a built-in fail safe which allows the blinds to be more child friendly.
We also offer fiberglass doors that have what is called a “wide glass layout”. These doors have a larger surface area of glass (27 ½ x 67”) on a 35 ¾ x 79” door. The wide glass layout will give your door a more contemporary look.
The cost of adding additional blinds is far greater than the cost of raise and lower blinds, and this insert option is backed by a 10-year limited warranty.
Door Frames
We offer primed door frames and vertical grain Douglas Fir frames. Both frame types can also have exterior metal cladding for low maintenance. Metal-clad door frames are available in several colours and have a very durable finish. All of our exterior doors come standard with ball bearing hinges that have many finishes to choose from.
